Local kids show off the crafts made with help from Niagara students from Denis Morris and Holy Cross. Raising the Denis Morris flag on one of Ted's drilling rigs.
Ketrina and Berri help level the test garden where Ted has since installed sweat hose irrigation. The kids helped paint a local clinic.
English lessons went a lot better with a little outdoor hokey pokey thrown in. Shucking corn was step one when the kids made the local food staple - tortillas - from scratch.
The kids pitched in to help with construction of one of the three schools the Wells of Hope team has begun to build in the mountains above Jalapa. Ted installs the first length of sweat hose in the new test garden. He has since contacted us to let us know the garden is ready to go.

From December 12th to December 22nd, 10 secondary school students from Denis Morris and Holy Cross High Schools visited the Wells of Hope project site in Jalapa, Guatemala. They were chaperoned by Ms. Montesi and Mr. Maxwell from Denis Morris. Below you will find a couple of sentences from each of the students regarding their 10-day experience in Jalapa.

"Guatemala is a great place, everyone that has come to this country doesn't want to leave and now it is my time to leave and I don't want to. I want to stay and continue but I can't and now I have to go." Ryan Griffin
