Project Harvest, an outreach program of the Niagara Warehouse of Hope, is a food security program that addresses people’s immediate need to eat.

This Guatemala project enables participants to become self-sufficient by providing them with enough knowledge to:

• Grow vegetables to feed and maintain the health and well being of their families.
• Improve the productive capacity of their land through the application of integrated horticulture methods.

The project is based on creating community gardens which are watered through a sweat-hose irrigation system. More than 250 gardens have been installed since the project began.
